New Year’s Eve in Quarteira 2026 is set to be one of the most vibrant celebrations in the Algarve, featuring an extended programme, renowned artists and a new location for the main events. Due to construction works on the new Quarteira Municipal Market, this year’s celebrations will take place at Jardim Filipe Jonas, located near Avenida Francisco Sá Carneiro.

This new venue, which usually hosts the Summer Market, will welcome the main stage and provide the necessary conditions to receive thousands of visitors who choose Quarteira to celebrate the arrival of the new year.

Xutos & Pontapés Live on New Year’s Eve

The highlight of the night on 31 December is the concert by Xutos & Pontapés, starting at 10:00 pm. The iconic Portuguese rock band is the headliner of New Year’s Eve in Quarteira and promises a performance filled with songs that have marked several generations.

At midnight, the traditional fireworks display will mark the arrival of 2026, lighting up the skies over Quarteira and creating one of the most anticipated moments of the night.

DJs and Entertainment Until Late

The entertainment begins earlier in the evening, at 7:00 pm, with DJ F Mouth, known for his musical journeys across different genres and influences. After the arrival of the new year, the party continues from 12:30 am with DJ Overule, winner of the Best Portuguese Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards and a well established name in electronic music.

Extended Programme from 28 to 31 December

The New Year’s Eve programme in Quarteira 2026 begins on 28 December with the activity The Last Run of the Year, an initiative that combines sport, social interaction and celebration. The event includes 5 km and 10 km routes through the streets of the town, starting at 5:00 pm, with free registration.

On 30 December, Jardim Filipe Jonas hosts Richie Campbell, one of the most popular names in Portuguese music today. The evening starts at 7:00 pm with DJ Westvil, followed by the main concert and ending with DJ Paulo Fragoso from Rádio Renascença, from 11:30 pm.
